Hey! I’m Iris, I live in the incredibly green city of Seattle, and I have no idea what I’m going to do when I grow up.

I wrote that statement many years ago, and yet it still rings true. Even after all the ups and downs, and gaining and losing of directions, I am still unsure. I have come a long way already, though, and it’s made me into who I am today.

When I was about nine years old, I accidentally checked out a blogging book (thinking it was about crafts). I started sharing my handmade cards, entering into card challenges, and was immersed in a world of kind, crafty people who shared their creations on their blogs. I loved it so, so much.

By the summer of 2013, my creativity was drifting away and soon I had nothing to show.  I had things to say, as most bloggers do, but I felt like my thoughts on productivity, or my short little stories and travel/lifestyle/fashion ideas didn’t seem to fit in. That’s when I started Hey Iris. I went through countless changes and I devoted my summer to writing anything and everything I wanted. This blog was my little downtown studio apartment decked out in warm rays of light where I could do anything I pleased.

After about two years, Hey Iris grew to involve brand collaborations, guest posting, and constant work. It was fun, but unsustainable. I stopped posting after a while, choosing to focus on starting my magazine, Comeback, instead.

Today, this site is my home and my resume for the creative side of me, the fruits of my time I wouldn’t put on my actual resume. Currently, I am studying at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, working towards a Bachelor’s in Economics. I continue to work on my magazine, moving online and focusing on supporting young creatives.
